Question for you.
How often to you find yourself thinking or saying “I don’t know.”
Maybe it’s “I don’t know what” or “I don’t know how” or “I don’t know why.”
For many of us, this sense of not knowing can be overwhelming to us. It can cause us to stop in our tracks. It can cause us to think we aren’t smart enough. And it can cause us to abandon our goals and question our purpose.
Well, if this sounds familiar, I want to encourage you today. Think about it this way.
Everything you already know about what to do, how to do it, and why to do it lies inside your “known” zone. Others refer to this as your comfort zone. You already know everything in your comfort zone.
When you find yourself saying “I don’t know”, be reminded that what you do not know lies outside of the “known” zone. It lies in the “unknown” zone. And the only way to find the answers to your questions is to dare to venture into the “unknown” zone.
For some people, doing this is easy. They don’t mind change and they don’t mind risk. They surge into the unknown either figuring it out and seeking answers on their own. Or they start asking people who might know what they do not know for the answers.
For others, venturing into the unknown is challenging. They prefer safety and security of the “known” zone. They like the predictable nature of knowing what they know thoroughly. And they may be risk averse.
But here’s the thing. It’s not right or wrong. It is simply real!
So today day, my friends, I encourage you to step out into the unknown. It is there that the things that you don’t know now will become made known.
And once you do that, your known zone will expand. And so on, and so on, and so on……
