Has this ever happened to you?
Have you ever started something too quickly?
Have you ever jumped into the deep end without testing the water first?
Have you ever hit the “GO” button prematurely?
Have you ever gotten so excited about something that you can’t wait to get started and then launched before it’s ready?
Well, if you have, chances are you’ve also had a bit of a mess to clean up on the back end. And you are not alone!
The question is why? Why do we act without thinking? Why do we blast off without warming up?
For some us, we simply fail to ask the questions or do the work on the front end and end up with a disaster on the back.
We get so excited about the the “blast off”…that feeling of that adrenaline rush or the desire to simply cross something off the list….that we ignore the work necessary to insure that we will be successful.
We want the result! We want the praise! We want it DONE!
And while there is nothing wrong with wanting this, there can be serious consequences IF we don’t slow down and take the time to prepare for the launch and to do the work on the front end so that our results will be successful.
So, today, my friends, I encourage you to be very aware of that which you are launching into no matter how big or how small it may be.
I encourage you to pause, breathe, and think about what needs to be done on the front end to avoid cleaning up a mess on the back end! You will be glad you did!
